Rewards Programme Rulebook

One of the AUSC Region 5 mandates is, to encourage, coordinate and promote the development of all forms of sport in the Region. The AUSC Region 5 Regional Rewards Programme provides a unique opportunity for the Region to motivate Member States, teams and individuals by recognizing and celebrating meritorious service and outstanding achievements in sport.

AUSC Region 5 Strategic Plan 2018 – 2028

The protocol on Culture, Information and Sport of Southern African Development Community (SADC) signed by all SADC Heads of State in Blantyre, Malawi, on 14 August 2001, states; “AWARE that SADC recognizes the presence and role of the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa Zone VI (SCSA Zone VI) and that SADC has made the SCSA Zone VI the implementing arm of all Sports programmes”.

REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES OF THE AUSC REGION 5

The Region 5 Member Countries have been involved in a number of key international like the World Netball Youth Cup held in Botswana in July 2017, COSAFA Under 20 Championships in Zambia, COSAFA Senior Women’s Cup in Zimbabwe, CANA Zone 4 Swimming Championships in Zimbabwe and just ended Commonwealth Games to name a few.

Who: African Union Commission/ Youth Division (HRST)

The African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC), established in 2010, is a continental development program that promotes youth volunteerism in Africa.

Young African professionals are recruited to serve for a period of 12 months as AU Volunteers in an AU Member State other than their own. The next intake of volunteers for deployment in 2019 will be from the 15 – 31st May 2018.
